Initial training in Paris

A third of each intake at the CFJ (Journalism School) is made up of foreign journalism students who sign on for a two-year course in all areas of the profession. The Master's level diploma is recognized by the state and the profession.

Since 1946, the CFJ has trained over 2000 journalists, who are now in senior positions in all the major newspapers, magazines, television and radio stations in some 40 countries.

To name but a few.
Patrick Poivre d'Arvor (TF1), Gérard Holtz (France 2), David Pujadas (France 2), Paul Amar (France 5), Laurent Joffrin (Libération), Bernard Pivot (Le Journal du Dimanche), Florence Aubenas (Le Nouvel Observateur), Franz-Olivier Giesbert (Le Point), Jérôme Bonaldi (Europe 1), Christian Chesnot (France Inter)...

Courses abroad

Over the last ten years, the CFPJ International has developed its expertise in setting up one-year courses abroad. Cairo, Beirut and Moscow Universities and Chisinau Journalism School each host one of these courses.

Each year 50 journalism students graduate with a diploma (Bac + 5 years) after a course taught mainly in French. The CFPJ is in charge of the practical workshops.

The hallmark of the rue du Louvre

With 50 students (both French and foreign) out of an initial 1000 applicants, the Centre de formation des journalistes is, in its specialist area, the school with the most stringent selection procedure in France.
